The ‘Association’ is a trust fund that may award grants to adults and/or children who are ‘registered’ as blind or partially sighted with the local authority in South Tyneside. Grants are awarded to people in need, towards the costs of specialist equipment or services. Grants are only awarded to individuals, not to groups or organisations.
The Trustees meet up to four times a year to consider applications. Applicants are advised of the date that their application will be considered and subsequently notified of the outcome.
